It's pretty cool that you've already begun a business venture with your friend and his father! What sort of business is it? Nonetheless, I'm sure you've gained a lot of knowledge from your experiences with it. I agree that one of the best courses I've taken was a Business Excel course because of it's versatility and applicability. I also learned a lot in my Marketing course which has made me more aware of the marketing that I come into contact with in my daily life and how it affects customer perceptions. Good luck with your business venture!
I would like to know what kind of business that you run with your close friend and his dad. How did you all decide to create a business together? What were the challenges that you faced the most at the beginning of creating the business? It will be awesome if your provided your classmates a list of tips to know when starting a business. I hope that this class will help you out a lot!
It's really cool that you've been able to start your own business venture but I would love to know what it is specifically. Maybe identify the names of your friend and his father also. I'm glad that you can apply things you've learned in school into your business planning. I can identify with this as well, as I work in sales and manage social media and web accounts for the shoe boutique that I work in. I have been able to apply skills learned in advertising, marketing, economics, and other classes into my work. Most recently I have been using Photoshop to help redesign the store's logo. I wish you the best of luck!
Damien, I think it is awesome that you have already started your own business and you are actually able to apply what you have learned in college to the "real world". Sometimes I feel that some classes that I have been required to take will not help me whatsoever in my life post college. Although these classes sometimes appear to me as a waste of my time, I do try to take away as much as possible from each class. Along with the comments above, I too would love to know more specifics about the business you and your friend started together. That has long been a dream of mine and I plan to continue working to make it a reality! Good luck with your business, I hope all goes well!
